    The Bingham Gallery displays a sampling of works by University faculty and students as well as by national and international artists in all media.

  • Central Missouri Astronomical Association & Laws Observatory

    5th floor Physics Building

    Laws Observatory is open to the public every Wednesday night (weather permitting) from 8:00 - 10:00 pm. It's a wonderful treat for both the young and old! best of all, it's FREE Knowledgeable staff is on hand to help answer questions that you may have. The observatory is located on the 5th floor of the Physics building on the University of Missouri campus. Come listen to Cosmic Space Noise on the Newly Rejuvinated Radio Telescope!

  • Museum of Anthropology

    Since its founding in 1939, the Museum has served the research and teaching needs of the University provided exhibitions and programs for the General public, and served as an archaeological curation facility for the State of Missouri. The permanent exhibition gallery focuses on Native American cultures from across North America, and Missouri history from 11,200 years ago to the present. The Museum is free and open to the public. Call or check out the website for more information and scheduling.

    The Museum's galleries house art and artifacts from six continents and five millennia. A collection of more than 13,000 works represents many periods and cultures from prehistory to the present, subblemented by special exhibitions as well as lectures, symposia, gallery talks, film series, and educational programs offered throughout the year. Free to the general public.

  • State Historical Society of Missouri

    Founded in 1898 by the Missouri Press Association and a trustee of the state since 1901, the State Historical Society of Missouri is the preeminent research facility for the study of the Show Me State's heritage. Housed in Ellis Library on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus, the Society is well located geographically and institutionally to meet the needs of scholars, genealogists, family and local historians, historic preservationists, journalists and others.

  • Wilbur R. Enns Entomoloy Museum

    3-38 Agriculture Building
    882-2410

    Houses 5.75 million specimens including 4.5 million specimens collected from Missouri streams. Other strengths of the Museum include Heteroptera (true bugs), Coleoptera (beetles), and Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths). A display area is open to the public most days. Group tours available by appointment only.
