    Our mission is to identify and develop innovative ways to empower persons with disabilities by bridging the gap between individual needs and available technology. We accomplish this by integrating persons with disabilities into all aspects of work and life as we uphold a holistic approach to needs assessment and promote a philosophy of maximizing human potential. Services are free of charge to students, faculty and staff. Call for appointments.

  • Environmental Health and Safety

    The Department of Environmental Health and Safety administers the Safety Eye Protection program on the Columbia campus. As a service to retired employees, the department will continue to order prescription safety glasses for those individuals who had previously ordered them through this program. Retired employees must pay the entire cost of the frames and lenses, but the price is lower than what would normally be paid using an outside vendor.

    The Health Connection is a community health, wellness and research center for the University of Missouri School of Health Professions. The friendly and experienced staff includes exercise specialists, personal trainers and registered nurses who welcome exercisers of all fitness levels. THC specializes in helping people recover from illness, surgery or inactivity in a non-intimidating environment.

  • Mason Eye Institute

    The central Mason Eye Clinic is a full-service ophthalmic clinic located within the Mason Eye Institute. The clinic features 17 equipped refracting lanes, an optical shop, a contact lens suite, a low vision suite, a minor surgery facility, photography/ angiography area with darkroom, laser suite, and diagnostic procedures such as corneal topography, specular microscopy, ultrasonography, and visual field testing. More than 17,000 patients are seen in the clinic each year.
